grand canyon

On saturday we all piled into a van and drove about 5 hours to the grand canyon. I left washington hoping for warmer weather, but to my dismay, it was snowing. The view was amazinggg, but it was kind of freaky because of the ice. I was pretty scared that I was gonna slip right into the grand canyon. Other than almost crashing in the van a few times, it was a great day. First we stopped at the Hoover dam, which is pretty close to the base. They're building a new bridge, and its so freaky! I think I would rather die then have to work on that thing! Anyways, things are going great here in Vegas. The family came to visit me last week and we had lots of fun. But now I have to get used to not seeing them all over again, which has been kind of hard.

OH, and I almost forgot the most exciting news of all. We decided on Turkey for our outreach!! I'm reallllllllly excited. Please just continue to pray for me, especially that God will provided the finances for this trip. I can tell I'm where God wants me to be, so I know he'll provide a way. I'm just not very patient, or good at trusting. Also, the dts that was here before us left for Afghanistan last week for their outreach. We all miss them like crazy, so please just pray for their safety and that God provides them with amazing opportunities!

  1. Thanks for posting an update about your grand canyon excursion. The pictures are great and it sounds like you had a good time. We were so glad we got a chance to come and see your base and meet everyone. We will continue to pray for all of you and for your upcoming mission to Turkey. We love you Z.

  2. Looks like you are seeing lots of country and having a great experience. It makes it all the greater when you are with good people and doing work in the Lord's name. Love to Z from Grandpa Jer.

  3. Hey Z ~ Okay, I am caught up on reading and will check this blog every single day now (it's on favorites). Sounds like you are doing super great and able to get out and see some of Vegas and the areas around it :) I loved that you climbed the mountain, I am with you....the whole trying to stay alive thing. Micah lost both front teeth now and his little tooth on the side next to the front teeth on the lower is lose now too. I am not sure why, but all kids love losing teeth and to me it looks so darn goofy adn seems like it would be hard to eat. But he is proud and excited wiggling it around and sticking his tongue through his missing fronts. I'll send pics when I have them. Anyway, things here are the same but different at the same time. It is funny how life changes so quickly and events can turn as well but it all is in the good of God if we give our lives to him. Everything and anything is possible with HIM. I will pray for your well being while on this journey of your life. What you do is so important and I really respect what you have chosen to do. We all miss you!

  4. Hi Zianna, I'll try this again. Grandpa showed me how to do this last night. I wrote a note, but it didn't go through. Just kept saying "loading". Anyway, I sent a little package on Wednesday. Let me know when it gets there so I can tell how long it takes snail-mail. Love your pictures of the Grand Canyon. Sounds like you're having fun. We miss you. Blessings, Grandma
